Fun, Hands-on Science and Nature Exploration for Preschoolers through Grade 3

Lafayette Nursery School Brings Out the Mad Scientist in Everyone!
Make a volcano explode, send a rocket in to space, or explore the gooey texture of slime. If that’s not enough, become an archeologist for the day and dig for dinosaur bones, or play with huge bubbles. These are just a few of the activities at the 31st Annual Lafayette Nursery School’s Science Day of Discovery designed for preschoolers to third grade. The event will be held on Saturday, May 5th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school and is a hands-on science day that is so much fun that it brings out the experimenter in everybody, young or old. The cost is $4.00 per child; parents and infant siblings are free. There are over 20 exciting hands-on experiments with a scientific point to each experiment. Your child will be able to take the powerful plunge into the electromagnetic field of magnets or pet many of our furry friends. It’s a day filled with lots of exploration.
It's all about
Up-close, visible and hands-on science. In addition to the displays that visitors can explore, there will be volunteer staff explaining each experiment.
